Using Virtual Reality to Acclimatize

We were looking at this upcoming product (no financial interest);

Oculus VR | Oculus Rift - The Virtual Reality Gaming Headset

It seems that it has a tendancy to induce motion sickness in some users, but the effects tend to wear off over time. I'm wondering if it could be helpful before a long passage to acclimatize users to motion sickness?

I'd rather shoot zombies than take drugs...
