USCG Has 43-Mile Warning Area Around Fukushima

I was checking the forecast and noticed the little warning area on the bottom. Stay away 43 miles (at minimum). I guess that might be effect for a while to come.

I will be keeping at least that distance away. Plus an extra 4,200 Nm just for safety.

One can only guess at what bad decisions he would make in a crowded anchorage or harbor. Glad I am on the opposite coast!!

My days of aggressive lane splitting are long over (100mph+ in stationary traffic ) - but used to be fun .......nowadays (over here) cars less willing to leave a "Middle" lane - and some deliberately block . For that I have a screw in the side of my boot.......

That depends on the driver

Re: USCG has 43 mile warning area around Fukushima

I always hoped that sooner or later that DOJ and Rebel and I would agree on something.

We now do.

At the risk of thread drift, there is a motorcycle mag here that has a comic book character - Fred Gassit - my favourite one is where Fred slams a rear view mirror off a car saying "Not Using it, Wont be needin it" and another where he is leaning into a car window screaming "Leave a gap Ya ............"

In a long and relatively successful law enforcement and justice career I did spend a few years riding police bikes (Z1000R MkII, Yammie 900, Yammie XS 1100, Honda 900 Bol Dor et al), try lane splitting with the crap hanging off them, mind you the lights and siren helped a bit.

Every non motorcyclist I have ever met complains that motor bikes are hard to see, and thats why they dont give way to bikes. Funny thing is that when I rode the police bike most people saw me three suburbs away.

And what does motorcycling have to do with a 43 mile warning area around Fukushima?

Mod Note:
Some thread drift is tolerated. If the original poster (rebel heart) is okay with it then that's fine. It is his thread. The side topic is not related to the water or boats so it is probably better to get back to the original topic.
