Tru fuel

I live in a state(mass) that has does not allow non ethanol gas at the gas pumps. I can buy 5 gallon containers @ a FEW selected locations for about $70
Is this pure gas or a mix you put in the non ethanol gas like sea foam.

My understanding is that the higher octane gas at the pump has almost none or no ethanol in it. So I always buy the 93 or 94 octane gas for all my small engine needs. I have not had any problems since. It's just my understanding though. I don't have any facts to back that up.

To correct myself, the real answer it appears depends upon the state. In Mass it appears there are 12 ethanol free stations. Here is a link i found that you (and others) may find useful. http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=MA

Tru Fuel is pure gasoline with possibly some additives. You do not mix it with anything.

Be aware that there are 2 types of Tru Fuel. One is for 4-cycle engines and the other is for 2-cycle engines. Be sure you get the right type for your engine.

Actually Ethanol has an octane rating of 113. So more likely than not, the higher octane gas at the pumps will have a greater concentration of ethanol.

There is a petroleum co. A hour away that pumps non ethanol.$10 a gallon.
I just need a few Jerry jugs for my Honda generator and out board engines

I have been using this method for the past year to fuel my '93 Harley and 2-stroke Tohatsu. The toughest part is getting fuel jugs with the old style non-vented nozzles. I start with 93 octane & use 1 qt distilled water.

Just add the stabilizer to your gas! Cheap and less of a pain in the A.

If it is an area where oxygenates are required, there is legally no truth to this statement. They MUST add ethanol to automotive fuel.

a. Stabilizer does not reduce phase separation. Nope. Some (not all) can reduce corrosion.

b. moisture is the problem. Learn to keep gas dry by closing the vent (portable tanks) when not in use or adding a vent filter (silica gel). Then use Biobor EB or Seafoam to prevent corrosion.

Much easier and cheaper than fighting it. Trufuel is an hilarious rip off.

Before I paid $10 a gl for pump gas or the extreme cost of tru-fuel, I'd consider Aviation gasoline, it does contain some lead though, and it's 100+ Octane, I say plus because the tests to obtain octane ratings for motor fuel and aviation fuel is different, but Avgas has an almost unlimited storage life.
Highway tax has not been paid on Avgas, so it's illegal to use it in a highway vehicle, but except for the small lead content it's legal in off road vehicles.

I find all these non ethanol discussions funny and a bit redundant considering internal combustion engines we call gas engines were originally designed to run on pure ethanol.and diesel engines were designed to run peanut oil.

Yep, then they immediately searched for better fuels, tanks, hoses, etc.

Ethanol has been a gasoling additive for we'll over 30 years and I have never had an issue with it and the fuel I used yesterday has been in the boat for well over a year no stabilizers and no problems and as a mechanic I think if it was really the problem people claim I would have seen some of it in my shop/personal equipment heck I used to make it for racing
