Suppose to be up here (Bermuda) as a Cat 2 on Friday afternoon. Just had TS Fay develop into hurricane over the top of us 0600 hrs, 12th, steady 80knts from the west, gusts to 122. Good bit of structural damage

Ouch! Hope they are too... they may not realize it's even coming if they left anyway...?

Re: Tropical Storm to hit St Martin, BVIs, USVI

If I were in BVI, I think I'd leave the boat in a marina and go to the safe hotel. My question is which would it be the best place to leave the boat?, taking in account the Gonzalo hurricane route

Re: Tropical Storm to hit St Martin, BVIs, USVI

Well it was sure a hurricane. Even NHC has a red blob on the wind history. That was one hellova storm.

About 20 boats lost or on the ricks. We dont know yet because its night and no one could help anyone anyway.

My dink flipped so I cant help till i get her unflipped and the dink donk going...
It was just meant to be a tropical storm with 25 to 35 knots. Hell! It was LOTS more. Lol

Current tracking has it quite to the east of both T&C and Bahamas.
