Banks Channel is an anchorage, or straight to the docks after the bridge.

Scoob - That anchorage in Wrightsville Beach is really nice, with a good dinghy dock right in town. BUT, if you take that first left after the bridge, we ran aground in there carrying five feet a couple of years ago. Without local knowledge, it looks like going down to the Masonboro Inlet and doubling back up the Banks Channel is the way to go, but I have no personal knowledge of that.

Definitely take the long way around and don't cut the corner across from the Coast Guard Station, it's tempting but will get you.

Ya so Scoob, to answer your question about Wrightsville Beach MArinas, there are a couple after you go through your next bridge, on the right. One has a decent restaurant, Dockside.

If you turn to port towards the inlet, Seapath is to port afer some turns. If you continue on, there is a good anchorage both to port and starboard.

Dude you're about to hit some skinny water, but I think the water is in and slack about now.

The locals here please correct me on any of this, it has been a while since I have been on the ICW through there. Usually in Masonboro and to the left...

Edit: Yes Bill you are right about some shoaling. I do think the water is in now though. Play it safe Scoob. Sorry for the redundancy, posting at same time. It takes a village...

Lots of restaurants in CB, Scoobi. Bon appetit. That stretch from Wrightsville to CB is skinny (isn't it all) with currents going sideways into the main channel from the adjacent marshes.

That was good time thru those bridges, Joyner will put you on the fuel dock which is right on the ICW and can be a little rough. Mooring balls are just a 1/4 mile past in the basin. The town has a free dinghy dock which is walking distance to food, hardware and groceries, just sayin
