Hello, unfortunately no. I still doubt it would have sunk, at least not right away. The bilge pump was connected to the battery, which was recharged by redundant solar panels and controllers. Every month or so I search Google and YouTube just in case... I am still hurting from the loss. Surprisingly enough I also had a "feeling" recently about it...

Thank you. I have been back in France since then. I have not given up the dream of sailing. My priority is to build or get another boat and try again. France is frustrating... Heavy taxes and bureaucracy; high unemployment. You can't do much here, everything is regulated or prohibited. It took me a while to revisit this forum or watch sailing channels on YouTube... The drive is still there though, getting stronger.

I have also been keeping myself active with my other hobby, amateur radio. It kept me away from depression really. I hope to combine the two again, radio and sailing, good combination.
