Took 3rd In J24 Nationals

This weekend was the Singapore J24 Nationals. I have been on Pemaquid for about a year as trimmer.

Only 10 boats entered but we took 3rd overall (8 races and we got 2 wins!) and got the owner a trophy for his bookshelf.

The first day we had 16 knots steady in clear conditions and a great day to sail.

Here are a couple of shots from day two - drizzle all day and about 6-9 knots.

The two shots at the bottom mark, we were outside in 5th at the bottom mark on teh first lap. We dropped spinnaker a bit early and button hooked to take two places away and finish 3rd. Very cool!

In the third photo we are about to tack under Angel, the eventual winner.

Congratulations! In my point of view it is harder to race in lighter winds like you experienced on day 2. That you could win races in 16 and in 6-9 is a good indication that you and your skipper know what you're doing.
Kind regards,
