I like cruisers because despite the many pressures to conform to societal standards, they have chosen a different way. Just this fact earns them a great deal of respect in my book. I also admire their self-reliance and willingness to help their fellow cruisers out. This applies more to those folks who are actually moving from time to time. The drunk guy who has been living on the beat up boat in Z Town for the past 10 years....not so much.

The Belgium couple who we wouldn't let raft along side us because we were leaving at dawn. So instead we got going whilst they hovered about, after an eternity we cleared the dock, they came along side and we rafted to them.

They put the kettle on and got the Chocolates out that only they know how to make, superb
