Re: Things You Don't Like About Cruisers . . .

Every cruiser is born with just a certain amount of tolerance. By the time you get to the status of old cruiser, you've had to deal with so many young dickheads all your 'nice' is used up!

You don't want grumpy old cruisers?
Don't be a young dickhead.... or an old one for that matter!

Grumpy is not an action... it's a REaction!

It's pretty easy to be a grumpy old man these days. But I dislike the constant negativity, unalterable opinions, and being seldom correct but never in doubt.

Dogs that constantly bark, ppl whipping by in the wee hours, visiting children on a rent-a-boat who have no idea how sound travels over water, that one drunk SOB at every hurricane hole all season long, know it all's, don't want to know it at all's, and finally me, for not moving and doing more sooner.

Re: Things You Don't Like About Cruisers .keep smiling and sailing

What an amazing thread. I’m not sure where you’re finding these “cruisers”, but in my 15,000 miles I haven’t seen what is reflected here. In my experience most of traits mentioned here are from un- experienced sailors. Of course theirs is always, what goes around comes around. I think I’ll just keep smiling and sailing.

I think that there are very few active cruisers on this board.

ye think? how long is one allowed to sit on a dock before no longer being a cruiser? do you count hurrycame season or do you figger all to sail during that time? what is your definition of moving a boat?

i think you will find that there are not as many as claim to be but there are more than you think.....

probably true as you don't hear from us as much whilst off on our adventures due to slow wifi, computers that break and hanging out with hula girls whilst holding up the bar in exotic locations........

I would be curious as how many are cruisers. Of course it depends on definition. Does living aboard and cruising 6 months of the year, I guess would be a part time cruiser. Been doing it for 8 years now.
But here we go again with titles, does it really matter!!!!!!!!!!!
