Re: There's Something Missing from this Boat!

It appears that the helmsman took a ride in a dinghy and then returned; therfore, the boat was without a helmsmam for a bit. Is that the mystery? ..... or was it that there was no beer or snacks on a tray in the cockpit? ...that seemed strange.

The beer must have been in the dinghy :-)

Re: There's Something Missing from this Boat!

The boat was perfectly balanced, trimmed and in its preferred point of sail, in its groove....

This is however a mindless stunt. One minor fuel problem and the boat would be gone...

Great sport! I do like it. I'm sure you were wise enough to make the risk assessments.

I did not see an anchor on the bow roller. But the anchor locker is open?

Don't think it had an autopilot.. Just a stiff tiller and good balance.
Was missing the NUC shapes )

just shows that boats don't really need the carbon based units in them

If you look at the tiller, it has a strange white arm beneath it keeping it on course.

Re: There's Something Missing from this Boat!

According to the owner the boat is under autopilot and being steered from the dinghy with one of my remote controls. I thought it was a great video!

You'd need to look at my commercial posts or website link.
This is just a great video I've shared from another forum (posted there by the owner).

I don't recall, but do ColReg's actually require the watch to be on the boat? The advantage here is he can see the problem from afar!!!
