The "Other" Cruisers

I have many friends who have spent their whole life enjoy the water on rivers and canals.
Please enjoy a wonderful film of the Norfolk Broads and its very many delights. Life on the Water, inland style.

Re: The "other" cruisers.

So very peaceful and tranquil. Some lovely old sailing yachts in the video too.

Re: The "other" cruisers.

I was once knocked on my face by a goat while opening a lock on the Shropshire Union canal. Goat was tethered strategically so the line would just reach far enough. Uproarious laughter ensued from the Pub just past the lock, where the patrons watched from the patio. We pulled over and tied to the bank, the beer was free since I had provided the "entertainment". Had to pay for the cabbage & cheese sandwiches though. A fine place indeed and a beautiful day I will never forget.

It was funny! Guess my sense of humour coincides with British humour. It was a rough and tumble bunch, lots of farmers and farm hands.

Re: The "other" cruisers.

Im sorry, I do not understand this whole goat thing. Perhaps because I am from out of town.

Can you explain, or is this some sort of internal British subtext thing, something that was learned in 6th form?

EDIT lots of goat references from the Brits it seems

"Doctor, Doctor I feel like a goat".
"How long have you felt like that"?
"Since I was a kid".
