Matey, I know where Port Townsend is; I was there on May 5 around midday. IIRC, there was a strong SE'ly blowing.
As for a description, the skip was looking a tad dreadful as if he was concerned about a lack of experience or something; the crew, while charming, was clearly inexperienced in helping a boat off the dock with an on-shore breeze.

Never mind, if you don't want to believe, it's OK. Not sure when I will be there next but if it's blowing like the other day, let me know if you are heading out and I can talk you crew through it - if she is still in the loop
