They also picked another Grand Soleil as their "Luxury Cruiser of the Year"

I don't suppose that Grand Soleil advertise with them, do they?
Having worked in media/publishing/advertiusing I can say without question that what StuM is alluding to is absolutely correct.
High dollar advertisers get preferential editorial coverage and product promotion while non-advertisers are lucky to get a passing glance.
That said, the boat looks pretty darn good to me.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, this one does nothing for me, but I do appreciate that others opinions, like mine are right, for them.

Maybe if the foot wasn't laying against the spinnaker on deck it wouldn't look so off trim?

Doin the "helmsman swap" dance. One, two, step, slide, lift. :-)

Like the Grand Soliel and the new Hinkley. If I actually had an money a modern boat it would be.

Re: The Crossover boat of the Year?

This is also called a crossover and to my point of view it makes sense to call it that way:

Wouldn't this be nice...

I could overlook a little fuel consumption for 25kts...
