Just finished reading this book by Farley Mowat, "the boat that wouldn't float"

Coincidence - I was digging through the shelves looking for something to read last night and came across it - haven't read it since it came out something like forty years ago. Definitely classic Farley Mowat.

I have not read Farley Moffat, I am adding a a few books to my list of must reads.

Yep, funny book. I think I read that book for the first time close to 35 years ago! still a funny book

His boat was called "the happy adventure"
I heard it was scrapped about four years ago
His friend called it the " unhappy misadventure" lol

Yes! It's a must-read.

That book, many years ago, is what got me first thinking about doing the Down East Loop, which I've just completed. I was a little disappointed I didn't have time to make it to Newfoundland.

Farley Mowat sure has done some good ones: The Boat Who Wouldn't Float, Never Cry Wolf, The Grey Seas Under, The Serpents Coil, etc......

A sad book he wrote was "A whale for the killing"
