Tesla Electric Yacht unveiled...
I love electric boats but I know their limitations are not small right now. Try to list all the ways this will never be built or work!!!

They seemed to have cracked perpetual motion:
"it uses a hydroelectricity turbine system located beneath the hull that collects energy as it flows through the water"

It's on the internet, so it must be true.
They've also managed to get a lot of power from that one tiny solar panel. Enough to run the engine and all those underwater lights. Impressive.
I do like the bar, however. Maybe if you kept it tied up all the time, in a strong current, and only came down on weekends to watch the game and have a drink, it would be perfect.
Oh, and maybe next time get a native English speaker to check your grammar and punctuation before publishing a web site.

Looks like something you'd see in a James Bond movie.
40 meters, she's big.
An electric yacht, pretty cool.

Did somebody OD on "Starwars"???
Still, James Watt was, in his youth, thought to be a nutter, so you never know.

Re: Tesla Electric Yacht unveiled...
That solar panel they are showing must be a super panel as that wouldn't be enough to power the microwave oven let alone a super yacht. This has to be a joke. Tesla should make something that works first (cars). Not just talk.

Re: Tesla Electric Yacht unveiled...
You don't need a big solar charger. Just enough to keep the dilithium crystals charged. The transporter takes away the need for a dinghy.

I don't know if it works, but it needed to be so ugly?

Re: Tesla Electric Yacht unveiled...
As long as you can anchor in a river the turbine idea makes sense. Of course once the boat's moving it makes no sense.

Re: Tesla Electric Yacht unveiled...
Electric powered is not new. I can*t remember the exact date, but probably 10 to 12 years ago, in place of an engine the space was filled with batteries which drove the in built prop, Once under sail the prop reverted to a turbine and charged the batteries. I nearly put this system into a 45 ft ketch I had at the time but had an offer to buy my boat I (or should I say Wife) could not refuse!!!! Anyone know if this system is still about. There were a number of Beneteau charter boats in the Caribbean with it?

Re: Tesla Electric Yacht unveiled...
Did anyone watch the solar powered plane and count it*s panels and this flew above the cloud level for the most part, ie constant (although variable) supply.I wonder the drag and weight of the Tesla? Fantasy nonsense!!!
