Re: "Tax not paid" (maybe EU) - what does it mean?

I don't know if this is germane to this discussion, but we own a USCG documented vessel based in the British Virgin Islands and pay a $200 USD "temporary importation tax" annually, in lieu of importing the boat. Just our cruising permits would exceed that if not based there!
