Yes, you'd think there'd be some recognition for their outstanding response.

Also, Landfall looks like they might have dropped crew off early in the race, but I could not find out much. The whole race site is very much twitter oriented now, and there's not much reading to be had.

One of the things the guys that manage Sydney Hobart race, I think a club, has to learn is that the management of a race in what regards information should be left to top professionals. If you want a race that gives big revenues in publicity and allows racers good sponsorship you have to do a lot better then what is done on S2H, namely cameras on the leading boats with direct broadcast, a decent tracker with wind prevision and better information and a much more live coverage with plenty of stories and not just some rare news from time to time.

The French have learned how to do that.
