Re: Stolen dingy st Augustine

I have a hardly used Saturn SD290 (9’6”) inflatable for sale for $500 which the OP might be interested in.

See Saturn 9.6' inflatable motor boats are perfect size for small runabout. for full specs.
This has everything, inflatable floor, oars, two seats, pump and bag.
Boat can be seen either in Titusville or Orlando, Florida.
Shipping would be expensive.

Re: Stolen dingy st Augustine

Maybe 1/2 the states title outboards. Would be a real PITA for those of us that buy and sell a lot of motors. I'm not sure it wouldn't be easy to cheat anyway. Kind of mirrors another registration debate, but hard to hurt someone with an outboard.......

Re: Stolen dingy st Augustine

I'm kind of suspecting the OP got it back, but already had a new dinghy. The sales post is pretty specific about "patches put on to prevent chafing on davits...". Would take a pretty salty crook to make that up and miss removing the rego.

The contact for the craigslist ad is the OP's wife. Looks like they got the dinghy back in one piece.

Re: Stolen dingy st Augustine

Maybe she stole it!

But seriously would have been helpful to post they had found it. Interesting it still has the leak they paid what $800 to fix.

Just putting the final paint on my new cat dinghy.

emailed craigslist and this was response from owner

Hi yes, it was reported stolen by me. It was stolen from me about a month and a half ago from the municipal Marina. It was returned to me about two weeks ago when someone saw it washed up in their backyard. Unfortunately for me they had taken the engine and ditched the dink. I had already moved on and purchased another dinghy which is why I'm selling this one. There is nothing wrong with it aside from what I listed in the ad. As well I have all the paperwork to prove that I am in fact the owner and not the thief.

Sorry for the delay. I would say about a week before it needs to be pumped again. It is a very minor leak and for the most part dinghy stays inflated
