That sucks! Nothing worse than a thief! How did it happen?

We did everything we could. Heavy duty stainless steel outboard motor lock plus thick cable and padlocked to a public dock with a relatively busy public walkway next to it in the center of town. I parked the dinghy at 1:30 and returned at 4:30 to no trace of it. Reported to police right away, got a ride from the port captain's office to search the harbor. Posted reward flyers all over.

I saw 3 kids trying to steal a dingy right in my face in Fort de France i shouted at them and confronted tbem. I called the police right away but the officer didnt do much. He just stood around for a while.
It is not safe to leave the dingy in Fortde France. You are not the first...
