Thanks for the link. I have to see if this solution works. I owned a gaff rigged traditional boat that worked that way. I am going to try first with the kind of collars fast performance boats use to hold the sail on the back of the boom, I mean those with velcro. As the sail would have a very short luff (limited by the height of the bat cars and the first spreader) maybe two fixing points are enough.

I will see but that can wait. I am sailing on the med, only when I go out on an Atlantic tour I will need that. Lots of time to experiment
