So you didn't want to haul out this winter....

We all know it's been a rough winter in the Northeast and that the decision to haul out is made before you can really know what the weather will be. Sometimes you make out and sometimes you lose big time, like these guys.

This used to be a trimaran.

This is in Narragansett Bay last week.

Looks like the anchor is still holding. Any idea what kind it is?

We need to add another category to the "Bluewater/offshore capable vs coastal" debate - "able to withstand New England winter on the water".

No idea on manufacturer, the monohull is now afloat and anchored in the same area.

Yeah, this is NOT what we had in mind for our last winter in RI. This pic was taken last week -- it's MARCH, for gosh sakes!!!

Is that trimaran in Wickford?

Re: So you didn't want to haul out this winter....

I spent over an hour clearing and digging my way to the companionway last weekend in Northern NJ (on the hard), after the last two days I figure I need to go down again this weekend - getting bored of this white stuff now, Tampa is looking better and better.

The trimaran is just off the Providence r
River 12 buoy near the Warren river/Rumstick Neck. I should have added that these are not where they are supposed to be moored. They were dragged there by the ice.
