It's amazing how many "designers" think they can do away with such basic concepts of naval architecture as course stability, friction resistance and seakeeping.

The more interesting question - how big a swell would be necessary to flip it upside down?

The comment before is what my thoughts were. A floating prison cell. Plus in any heavy wave action it looks like it would role over. Plus wheres the storage? How can you travel around the world without the many bottles of rum needed. Just saying I'm not a buyer.

In fact, there is no real risk of capsizing as long as the swell doesn't break.
But the "brim" around this contraption (can't call that a yacht or a ship) will result in sudden, jerky motions in a seaway. There are no videos of a model test in a seakeeping tank, because they would show it just doesn't work.

Doesn't the inclusion of a mailbox in the illustration demonstrate that the concept hasn't been thought through? If this habitat is wandering the ocean at 3.5knots, which postal service is intended to deliver?

And honestly, let's face it, it is REALLY ugly.
Looks very sterile, not classy at all...
That's my personal view though.
