Slip Fee and Winter Storage

I have a slip that I pay annually (I get a discount doing so). It is for 12 months, however, I pull her each winter for storage "on the hard."

Is it typical these days to pay for "on the hard" storage as well, if you have a slip?

Unfortunately, yes. You could keep the boat in the water throughout the winter. Where you are I am sure that you would need a bubbler. But at least in the Annapolis area, they work pretty good.

Unless you have a slab-sided boat (not the IP-31) you don't need a bubbler - the greatest contribution of a bubbler is to protect (vertical) pilings from ice-jacking. If the water ices up hard you might get some scratches in the bottom paint around the waterline but that's it.
