Sandpiper 32 help

The keel to rudder steel bar. has broken loose off the keel.
It does not seem to effect the rudder.
Should I just cut it off on at the beach. Or rebuild it at the yard.?

What is the purpose of the steel bar?
If it is to help protect/support the rudder, especially in case of a grounding, I would replace/repair it asap.
If it mainly to prevent crab trap/lobster pot lines from becoming entangled in the prop then it's not as crucial.
Either way don't run aground or snag trap lines.
