San Diego Boat Broker

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a reputable boat broker in San Diego I can work with?

When we where looking to buy boats the brokers at flying cloud yachts seemed very knowledgeable, we worked with Clark there and he was very nice and had good sailing experience. This was two years ago but I still see the ads in latitude.

A good surveyor will be harder to find, and more important to your purchase. There are a number of threads on CF about surveyors that you can find with the search feature. Good luck with your boat hunting._____Grant.

We have been looking at Brewer 44's. The most common problem is water infiltration in the cored deck. I can only imagine what a thousand screw holes from teak decks could potentially do. They are great boats tho.

Re: San Diego Boat Broker

Old thread, but in case people find this by search in the future:

I second Ian Van Tuyl at Cruising Consultants. Super friendly, very professional, go-getter.

I've also had dealings with Joseph at Cruising Consultants and Ian Bossinger at California Yacht Sales. Both of them are awesome at what they do and very trustworthy.

I'd trust anyone of these guys to buy or sell my boats in the future.

You are correct. I have dealt with Ian on a couple of occasions since originally posting this and find him very reputable, knowledgeable and professional.
