I think the key to practicality here is low freeboard and height of winch off the water
, otherwise oars need to be long, too long. Also of course you need to have room for a full reach fore and aft. My set-up here would not really work for the Catalina
27 or Luders 30 and certainly not the Rawson
30 in the next slips over.
