Ha. Not sure if this was directed at me or the internet in general...so:
I am from the US. I'm not freaking out about Obamacare. I'm probably overweight for my altitude. I don't want to go to war any more than I have to. I do wonder about the mental health of the individual from the story...he does not seem well-adjusted to society.

Is that what he got the boat for? $600? Cool. I wonder if he got a fishing pole with it so he could catch some food?

Re: Sailor Abandons Boat off Florida coast

Regarding people bagging the "go for it" posts, i view this story like someone saying they are hungry and people saying "go for it, go to the shops" but neglecting to mention that there are roads in between and they step out in front of a car…

As other posters have commented, common sense is lacking in this one Yoda, so please keep the positive, free attitude and let darwinian theory take care of the rest.

Else every post will end up with "go for it, just remember you need a boat, there are waves, you can drown, if you cover your willy in burley and shake it around in the ocean something will bite it…" etc. etc.

I'm bummed that he put down grapefruit. Here is a Dr. Oz tip from his website:

Grapefruits are great on their own: They're rich in lycopene, an antioxidant that's been shown to reduce inflammation and prevent cell damage. But when you pair grapefruit with avocado, the avocado's healthy fats actually help increase lycopene absorption, making it more available for your body to use.

A wasted opportunity, ya ask me.

Perhaps he abandoned ship to go ashore to ask the group of homeless people for some avocado.
