Also legal are missiles and torpedos on boats over 30 feet.

A pirate has never, ever attacked a sailing boat carrying torpedos!
Best close this thread moderators, just read what we get offered up here fixed .50 cal?!

Re: sailing with arms and ammo

I've checked with the U.S. State Department , you may indeed travel on a U.S. flagged vessel carrying whatever arms you choose , as long as they would be legal while in your home port. You must declare them when arriving to a foreign port. Having said that , I was looking for someone who may have RECENTLY traveled while armed. Will definitely have my AR 15 and Glock 22 aboard , just don't know if it's such a good idea to bring my 50 BMG ?

leftest opinion? the sea within three miles of any country is hardly a different animal. there are local police enforcing local laws. you asked a question and didn't like the answers. tough do do. i've sailed for decades with my own two dukes for protection. got one fist of iron and the other of steel if the right one don't getcha well the left one will. you may want to man up before you set sail.

Re: sailing with arms and ammo

This member started a thread on firearms that turned out to be more productive than most of them:

http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...te-143216.html

This one is quite dated, but laws don't often change very fast...

http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ntry-1641.html

Do a search using the custom Google search box in the "Search" pull-down menu up top, and you'll find a LOT of stuff on firearms while cruising.

Re: sailing with arms and ammo

Please do carry, and let us know when you get out of the foreign jails. Not leftist, just the rest of the world does not think like you. Unfortunately, your little act of self reighteous denial of the fact, wont change a thing.

I really like rifles and pistols as well, but I am a little older (it was mentioned at work that I am older than dirt) and hopefully a little wiser. When travelling I pick spots that are not noted for being a little sketchy. There are lots of places in this world to go where guns are not required.

STAY behind Trump's Wall and play cowboys and indians or navy seals . Time to dump this thread with the thousands of others.

Some English marine safety (Anti-piracy types) declared all of their equipment and then were the guests of the Indian Government for quite a while.

Most of us are trying to be reasonably polite, and trying to get you to rethink this.

All I can say is have fun.

Re: sailing with arms and ammo

By the way , before leaving the U.S. , must register all weapons with DHS , if not , they will be confiscated upon return.
