Sailing to Cuba from Halifax, Nova Scotia

Hi,

Just wondering about sailing from Halifax Nova Scotia in November to Cuba. I'll be sailing a Contessa 26. Will it be a painful slog -- ie. working against current and winds? Suggestions?

I'm aware of the risks (end of hurricane season/start of possible winter storms) Just wanted to know if anyone else have sailed along the eastern seaboard to the caribbean?

Wow thats quite an undertaking for that time of year.
Are you planning a somewhat coastal route or all offshore?
Late middle or early November as a starting date?
Also how much time do you have?
Maybe if you tell us a little bit about yourself we could give you some pointers such as how much experience you have would be a start.
