Has anyone sailed from Ancortes Washington to San Diego? I am looking for the best time to leave and how long it would take.

Most people stop in SF. Took me 8 days Victoria - SF in a Westsail 32.

I'd recommend only going when the North Pacific High is well set up to avoid getting hit by the systems that march accross the Pacific. That usually means June-Sept.

Thanks, I will most likely stop at SF first. Leaving next summer in August sometime hopefully. Did you stay offshore for most of the trip or coastal?
