Sailing San Francisco Oct 26-28

My wife and I (Ericson 32-200) owners are coming to San Francisco for a business conference in late October and are seeking someone who would be willing to take us out sailing for an hour or two.

We always wanted to experience sailing out there!

We'd be happy to bring the wine/beer and will reciprocate if you ever come to the Pensacola area.

PM me if you are interested.

Thanks
Rick

Man... if I thought we would be done with the work and the dry dock by then I would say "come on down!"

...but, that would prolly be way too optimistic of me ; -)

If that changes I'll let you all know!

A month in advance is usually farther out than I normally plan things, but I might be around and sailing. Send me a message with your email and I'll mark my calendar.

Hi All,

We will arrive in San Francisco this Friday at noon and could sail on Saturday or Sunday morning of anyone wouldl like to take fellow sailors out for an hour.

We are staying near the convention center.

We don't drink but would be happy to bring wine or beer.

Bring warm cloths for sailing on the bay. Florida folks for some reason think its cold in the bay area.. While the air temps are in the 60's water temp is in the 50's....

Light winds this week only 8 knots ish.

Nice day to be out on the water. Tomorrow should be the same. There isnt much wind down here at oyster point (1hr south of the city by boat), but the central bay usually has at least a nice breeze.

Sorry but I'm using this weekend to pack up the boat to leave it for a few months of travel via airplane. Surly there is someone here that will take you out. Although it doesn't seem like many CF members are over here in the Bay Area. Maybe next time.

It turned out to be a nice calm winter like day here. A typical winter day on the SF Bay has light winds, between the periodic windy fronts that move in. It's very unlike the East Coast. We have some of the nicest days this time of year and in the winter months.
