Sailing out of Green Bay WI

We're looking to sail our Beneteau 38', with 5'3" draft, out of Green Bay this summer. We want to daysail in the bay AND do some longer vacation sailing around Door County and Lake Michigan. Any thoughts/comments on sailing out of Green Bay? Thanks!

Been a while, but check out the fish boil at the White Gull Inn and the goats on the roof at Johnson's in Sister Bay.

Neenah? To quote the song "where the hell is Neenah?" Okay, I know - I was raised there. Cheesehead living in exile. What, you don't want to sail that Bene on Lake Winnebago?
When I worked at PJ's, we used to charter a 40' C&C and sail over to the Beaver Islands, Manitou. Charlevoix is great. It's all good. Especially if you can get to the North Channel sometime.
Yes, the Apostles are great as well but you'll have a haul on your own bottom.
And don't forget the Chicago/Mac Race. I missed in 1983 to get married.
If I can pull it off, I intend to bring the cat up the Erie Canal into WI for a couple years.

Thanks for your thoughts. We sailed our Precision 21 (now for sale, by the way!) on Lake Winnebago for years, now it's time to explore. If you get back to Wisconsin, let me know.
