get a set of polars for the boat and sail to them they give you all the optimum sailing angles, what's fast and what's not

I don't have swept spreaders, but I do run a symmetrical chute without a pole. Tack it to the bow and around the furled genoa with Parrell beads. Not as efficient as an ASYM, but it works.

There are also videos of smaller boats running with a SYM flying untacked. I am a little scared to try this with my 130 meter sail.
