Route Suggestions: Menorca to Corfu

Hello,

I can't really decide whether I should go from Menorca to South West Sardinia then hop over to Sicily, then along its North coast, through the straight of Messina and up the sole of Italy and cross to Corfu.

Or

Menorca to North West Sardinia, head north an up the East of Corsica, hop over to Italy and down its coast all the way to the sraight of Messina, along the sole of Italy and over to Corfu.

I prefer day sailing between anchorages. Although I am happy to do 1 or 2 consecutive nights at sea. I am not really under time constraints but I want to get to Corfu sooner rather than later.

My concerns are unaffordable marinas and anchorages that may be too full.

Does anyone with experience of this area (in high season) have any suggestions?
