pirate Rescues at Sea

RNLI through time

http://www.salcombelifeboat.co.uk/

Might be of interest to Non-Brits....
People who have to pay an Annual Sub to a Commercial Company to be rescued... maybe..
If only more Countries would adopt this line of National Concern and Charitable Support more coasts/sea's in the World would be safer places for the many...

Oh... by the way.. this is to inform all those who whinge about Government expense on Rescues.... which are grossly exaggerated for propoganda in most case's... Disaster Area... sending the Army in..??
Hell they're getting paid just to march round and do drills anyway... so there's just the fuel costs to get them there... at least they're doing something useful... and its good training and raises moral... they're saving folks.. not destroying them..
Does wonders for the Soul... and no PTS disorder afterwards.

I prefer to be rescued by the Navy. There are soldiers in the Army that can not swim.

BTW, if your reading this and you are in the service or are a veteran, thank you!

Volunteering is great.

Our tiny town of 3,000 has a volunteer Fire Department, volunteer library, and volunteer youth sports field house and fields. We even convinced the state national guard to do all the heavy earth moving to level the ball fields as part of a training exercise. We think we're better off than those snotty neighboring towns and cities who triple their taxes to have town employees raise their kids.

The only problem with the volunteer Fire Department was that when my then wife (now ex) fainted once, 30 volunteers crammed into my house. I guess there's only so much entertainment in a small town.

I found my first girl friend in the SeaScouts. I was rescued from her by the next one!
No public expense was necessary (thankfully).
