Rent/Lease a sailboat for one year in Caribbean

A yacht exchange would be a good business I think. Like home swaps. Swap boats of similar size and value in different locations with other owners. You can then go to Thailand or the Med or Australia, and you don't have to cross the oceans to get there. If you are an owner of that similar type of yacht, you would be at least knowledgeable and possibly responsible.

Have you considered approaching banks, in Spain there are a lot of houses (and Boats) owned by the banks, with the houses they will rent very cheaply with the option to buy. Banks are basically not too concerned about condition etc just want their wedge, so unlike a cruiser owner they may well give a rent to buy option. Worth a shot
