Reading a weather map - wind

I have found the NOAA web site that gives wind predictions - http://adds.aviationweather.noaa.gov/winds/. Only one problem.... I have no idea what all those Fs mean. Can any one direct me to a web site that explains how to read these maps? I tried to find a site without much luck. Any help will be appreciated!!!

Thanks
Roger

If your talkig aboutthe things that look like arrows they point in the diriction the wind is going and at the tail of the arrow the lines tell you the speed in ten knot incriments____/_/ if north is up this would be blowing from the east at 20 knots the if the lines at the tail are short they indicate 5knts ____i_/ = east at 15knts pleas excuse my art work.
