Proud New Owner of 'Larwyck' Monitor Windvane #078

i recently fell into a great deal and happened upon an old monitor windvane from the pre scanmar days. the vane is from the late 70's but has been sitting in a storage unit for the last 15 years. i have already talked to the guys at scanmar.

the story goes that the original monitors (the first 300 or so) were built in a garage in southern california, and sold under the name "Larwyck". there have been little tweeks over the years but looking at it you wouldnt know it isnt a monitor. it will be a while before i get it on the boat, but for $400 im happier then a pig in poo

heres a few pictures, just wondering if any of you lot out there are still cruising around with an old larwyck hanging off the back?
