What a depressing thread.
My contact information is visible through a port. PLEASE call me if something's wrong or just pissing you off. If you want to stalk me, well have fun with that.
It'll probably be less awkward for everyone if you've stopped by to say HI! first, but in any case PLEASE come aboard my boat and try to figure out how to make the beeping stop. There's a fire extinguisher if that's the cause, my throughhulls are easy to find if fire is becoming less likely by the second, and my phone
number is in the port if you just want to tell me to learn to use whatever's beeping.
Whatever the beep is, it probably doesn't necessitate calling the cops or notifying the coast guard or launching preemptive airstrikes. Sometimes people just forget to push buttons.
Am I being extremely naive here, and perhaps extremely lucky to have ended up with that mindset? Are these paranoid "security concerns" really necessary amongst the 0.01% of the population who might ever anchor
a boat for the night?
