Re: Powerball 1.3 billion

Whatever Chris White could build me with all the budget he needed.

That much money would last me the rest of my life. I figger it would be about a week and a half if I could show SOME restraint.

Re: Powerball 1.3 billion

If it was "only" 1.3 million, we'd just keep the boat we have.

Ooops, just noticed it said BILLION...

I'd get Bob Oram to design me a cat that would sail rings round the Sydney-Hobart fleet, then I go and do it.

Re: Powerball 1.3 billion

A 1/4 share of a Citation X and a fine cruising vessel wherever I wished to go next. Cruising to windward at 600mph would be a fine way to make passages.

868 Million lump sum option and after taxes roughly 520 million.

Re: Powerball 1.3 billion

We would just buy the boat we already want. Nothing bigger.

I would want a monel hull though.

Re: Powerball 1.3 billion

I might buy a few boats and just have them in seasonal location I want to spend time at and just fly to them when the time comes. Isn't that what basically what most Mega Yacht owners do?

BTW - some of this ground work has been done to save you lucky winners time

Re: Powerball 1.3 billion

Years ago when the first lotto went to 100m. There were TV cameras interviewing people as to what they would do if they won the jackpot.

My brother. 25 at the time, when asked the question by the female interviewer said " I would spend it all on liquor and whores"

I have a ticket , I hope that I do not have to share with any one , Then I would net only $260, 000,000. Maybe I will pass this time !
