Decent officer. Just suggested I put the knife in my bag. Explained the rule to me when I told him I was back from living in the States. We discussed Florida and I gave him a recipe for Trout.
What I was doing was actually NOT illegal, but to save concerned members of the public from calling in and reporting me, I put it in the bag.

Its a control thing. Defenceless public.

Wrong.
What is your government afraid of, that you will catch a fish and eat it without paying some sort of tax which they intend to redirect toward welfare for the Arabs?

Wow... You might as well bend over and pretend you're a goat.

I'll be at the gun range first thing on Friday firing off some AK rounds and maybe some 12 gauge sabots in preparation for deer hunting season. Will probably fire off a few bolts from the crossbow while I'm at it. I leave Italy on Thursday.

This is an English forum, we can thank our ancestors for that too. The UK needs to grow a spine once again, otherwise you'll be speaking Arabic before too long. IMHO.

Who in the UK came up with that totally dumbass idea to introduce yourself to invaders and thieves? Frankly.... I couldn't believe how stupid the idea was when I first heard it. Now, I find out it's common

You guys are finished if you don't change your way of thinking.

Pretty good considering a reported 293 mass shootings in the safe old USA this year so far. last night was quiet here in Florida, only one shot and then only wounded, maybe the beer or the drugs ran out or they all enlisted again instead to get their rocks off.

As for speaking arabic, maybe if Rambos had stayed at home the arabics speakers might have done so too.

Yes.

But the downside to that is that you live in Whoville and need weaponry.

I on the other hand, dont need to worry about all that.

And I can go grouse and Pheasant shooting with the Shotgun in season, oh, I forgot the Ducks. I hate Deer meat with a passion.

You pays your money and take yer choice.

Time you sold up and moved to cruising full time instead of living in a war zone-your words in previous post.

What concerns me about that scene is not so much the nanny state police officer, as it is the fact that it appears to be working. As evidenced by the fact that any citizen might actually call you in on that.

Here, as you know, I could walk down the street with a Bowie knife and no one would care. Unless you are black or Latino...

Its no different to guns.
Politicians demonise guns.
Europe altered the law and got rid of them.
Then they demonised knives.
Now cannot have a blade more than a 2 inches and must not be a fixed blade (Has to fold) on a person in public.

Public will believe anything if the news shows attacks by guns or knives.

Wicked guns and knives!

Politics.

My place in Whoville funds the cruising life. Besides, my wife and I really don't worry about crime and stuff, we're part of the hood, we've adjusted our lives there accordingly, we are armed at all times just like the police. Actually, we sleep quite well in our bunker. Weird I know, to anyone who hasn't experienced the same situation.

Are you British?

Spoken, or rather written by someone who fails to point out that all the "mass shootings in the safe old USA" took place in "gun free zones" where people were helpless to defend themselves. BTW, there hasn't been anywhere near 293 mass shootings... Maybe three. So your figure is off by only 290.

How do you cut up your meat in a restaurant? Or, is it served up puréed like baby Food?

BTW: The knife ban is only in the UK, not everywhere in Europe. Knives of all sorts can be purchased easily and are common throughout Spain and Italy. I'm actually thinking about buying a speargun for next season. They even have little short spearguns about twice the size of a pistol here in Italy, which can be purchased at their version of Walmart for about €80. I assume they're intended for smaller fish?

72 mass shootings in the US in the last three decades. Here they all are, with number of victims, weapons used, where, when, etc. Irrefutable.

The mass shootings are usually a combination of Mentally sick people and prescription medications but nobody really likes to talk about that because somebody's' feeling might get hurt. The shootings mentioned are mostly criminals shooting criminals.

Whereas of course no other countries have any people with mental health issues or is it that those civilised countries do not have such easy access to weapons of mass destruction???
Time to wake up and stop making excuses.
