I think we all get cranky from time to time what we get charged or quoted for bits and pieces on our boats.
just to make you all feel better:
My
work car is a 2005 model
Nissan Patrol Trayback.
Last week coming out of my garage I hooked the left hand mirror on a post. It din't brake the mirror itself just cracked the black triangle plastic base.
I called
Nissan this morning to buy one of those base plates and was told I have to buy a whole new mirror. (The mirror itself is a separate part)
After a big long grunt I said ok how much for a new mirror?
$418 plus 10% tax......not kidding that is what he quoted me. I told him he should hang onto such a valuable piece of
equipment , it is to good for my car.
What is wrong with those companies?
So next time you get a quote that makes your ears hurt just think of my piece reflective glass with a plastic frame around it.
cheers
Reiner
