Pacific and Atlantic Sailing

just wondering what you guys think is the harder ocean to cross. this is assuming your leaving in the appropriate window of time.

say Cali to Hawaii.
and Maine to UK

Never got out of the Atlantic yet, but..... the sailing bit isn't really that hard. Finding somewhere with the right bits to fix the boat when you break it is possibly higher up the scale. Sailing is easy, cruising is all about maintenance....

Years ago i made a delivery to Azores from the Caribbean in winter, arriving in Horta in snow , the Atlantic can be very nasty in the winter.
