On respect & Netiquette

Follows some of the personal guidelines that I have applied to make me one of the Net’s most well-respected, favoured, often read and quoted, and generally well-liked authors:

1. I’ve never had a thought I didn’t feel compelled to share, and I call this “enlightenment”.

2. I just say anything that comes to mind, and call it “honesty”.

3. My self-respect and confidence are absolutely dependant upon vigorous rebuttal, and I call this "determination”.

4. I’ll never let anyone else have the last word, and I call this “dialogue”

5. I always add “spice” (outrageous opinions, abusive language, etc.) to my postings - this garners the greatest number of follow-ups, and I call this “intriguing” or “interesting”.

6. I never constrain myself to accepted language, and I call this “creative license”.

7. I never correct false information, and I call this “tolerance”.

8. I never admit my own error, and I call this “decisiveness”.

9. I’m the most astute, cleverest, best-informed individual on the Net, and a scintillating writer to boot (...I forget where I was going with this; but no matter; it’s “mine” so it must be worthwhile).

10. This forum would be a much better place, were we all cast in my image (“humility”?).

So go forth, and spread the word...

Best regards,

Hi all,

Yes, I can understand the mistakes of others. Once, I thought I had made one, but I was wrong

And I'll NEVER make that mistake again!
Grunt, Grunt, Grunt, gesture ...
