Stumbled across this site while I was doing some research on small catermarans, found this very interesting device that can aparently be fitted to both sail and small power craft.

What do you think? Ok, I know it's not a replacement option for sailboats as you can't go upwind with it but interesting to note the pic of it fitted to a sailing Cat' with the mast removed.

As you can tell by my handle I'm into kites.

I've actually kiteboarded from FL to Bimini.

There are a ton of advantages and there are kites in use already in shipping applications. Dave Culp is one of the leaders in the arena. The link here is to an application that might fit the sailing community more immediately than others as no modifications are necessary to use it and it's legal for racing.
