OK, Cruiser that still has to return to work and leaves Boat for duration

At the threshold of retirement and Sailing Single Handed therefore still have to return home to the USA to undertake work from time to time, ..when I leave the Boat it's usually tied off to a buoy in a Marina somewhere or alongside and paying the Dock Manager or other to watch over her and wash her down once a week, do the bright work etc.....problem is the bloody thievery that seems to be getting worse and worse as time goes on....doesn't seem to matter where She's tied up.....when I return there's nearly always something missing!!!!
Last time 6 x Auto Inflate life Vests w/ Harnesses had disappeared....of course no one was to blame, the key was always in the Dock managers safe keeping and you know he's not the thief
Obviously, it was my fault as I never sail with life Jackets on board, never mind the $300 Offshore Auto Inflates!!!
I'm starting to dread going back to the Boat wondering what will be missing next?
Anybody else experience the same problems? Started in the DR and has continued throughout the Caribbean....
Panama and the Marquesas beckon......
