Oh now I see what your problem is. You have no precise definition of political terms like left-wing, right-wing, liberalism, fascism, socialism, etc. You work from a base of common interpretation of those terms and mix them up in self defined categories.

Look I love to discuss with people who have different opinions than I as long they give me the same courtesy I show them: I try to understand why they are thinking what they are thinking and I am willing to change my own stand if they present points I have not considered before.

You on the other hand - and I have seen this so many times before - like to surround yourself only with people who are the same like you. The chioce of what post you are replying too with assumed substance clearly demonstrates this.

This btw. is the difference between a scientific approach, which questions everything and a religious approach based on fixed dogma.

Unfortunately you will never expand your horizon if you withdraw from a debate just because your opponent is of different opinion than you. You always will stay in this little bubble build by your believes. You will only choose to surround yourself with people and read literature, watch only those news channels, etc. that reinforces your believes.

That's because they need things to be neat and tidy and to fall within the way we want to define the world. Hitlerism was a political process in its own right, I'm sure neither Ann Rand or a Bernie Sanders type would try to align themselves with Hitler or Stalin. Things aren't as neat and tidy as we would like them to be.

You nailed it...but...that Box is also part of the game.
If you can get your political adversary trapped and painted into a corner of the box by defining him with talking points, negative attack ads, and personal attacks...you win. The right does it with by trying to label everyone a "liberal" and the left does this with the classic "Racist" or as we have seen in this thread, the "you better not identify as being right of center or you are close to Hitler". These labels and games worked on a wide percentage of the populous. But the game is changing as more and more people figure it out....some just slower than others.
