Said the man with no gay or lesbian friends. If you actually talk to some GLBT folk, They will tell you they always felt that way. They were never confused, though some might have been in hiding. Oddly science studies seem to support this too, which is why the feds are supporters.

Gender confusion only exists in the mind of the christian right. The few trans folk I know, were never confused. They always knew who they were. One will never transition, mainly because of the high cost in money and social standing.

Myself, I'm just happy I'm off sailing in a few days.

A person with a penis is a man. A person with a vagina is a woman. That's biology. You don't have a choice whether you are male or female. If you have a penis and think you are a woman, you are either very stupid or you are mentally ill and need treatment.

As far as bathroom laws, it's true, a woman is unlikely to be molested by a man who thinks he is a woman but the laws allow any man to claim he is transsexual for the purpose of going into the woman's restroom. He typically doesn't have to even make an effort to pass as a woman.

You have no idea what you are talking about... do some research... read... there are absolute differences in the ways that the human brains develop in gay and straight people. They are born differently. Not only is the chemical makeup of the brain different, but also the physical makeup.

There is scientific data indicating that there is an affect on the unborn child from the levels of testosterone in the blood of the mother. Im not making this up...this is documented data.

SO when you say that they are making a choice... let me ask you...exactly when did you choose to have a sexual preference for women?.assuming that you are not gay. By your theory, we all must make a choice.

Re: Now I understand how poor i am.

I have done research. Remember, you don't know me.

If I told you I was a horse, would that make me a horse? The answer of course, is "No". Hopefully that is clear to everyone.

Now if I told you I was a female, would that make me a female? Again, the answer is "No". Examine my anatomy and this would be clear to you.

Simply saying you are a female does not make you one and anyone who thinks it does is out of touch with reality. "Transsexuals" are mentally ill and need treatment, not pandering.

As far as gay or lesbians, I not only have them as friends, I have them as relatives. Not knowing me, it's pretty rude to post assumptions about me. I also know people who were straight for many years and then "turned" gay. People are not born gay, it's life experiences that turn them gay.

People that "know stuff" quit learning. In my experience it's best to be a skeptic. You are constantly in the knowledge gathering mode and don't accept knowledge that doesn't have a scientific explanation.

But is the nail polish original recipe or extra crispy?

which is the same whether you make $15.00 per hour or $60.00 per hour.

No difference. It's just what you are trained to do and what society is paying for it at the time you are living

You still have folks that do a good job no matter what they make and are very smart about it, and those that just get by with minimum effort whether they make $15 or $60

That's just people............

Wow.

As you have done research I think you should back up your statement that Gender Dysphoria is a mental illness. Please state peer reviewed scientific sources confirming this assumption of yours.

This is not my field - I'm an Astrophysicist - and I do not claim to be an expert, but is the real cause of Gender Dysphoria still inconclusive and still being researched?

I also think you mix up cause and effect here. It is clear that Gender Dysphoria can lead to severe mental illness, which is not surprising if you think what kind of discrimination "they" have to face every day - "they" just do not fit into our so clearly categorised western value system. Other cultures have less problems with that. Look to Samoa they have a third gender (fa'afafine) and accept and do not stigmatise "them". Do some real research, there are other examples too! When it is considered normal and accepted there is not an increase in mental illness in "those groups".

Have a look at those References:

Re: Now I understand how poor i am.

I'd rather ask the horse than try to convince one he is a cow. The worst thing that can happen is we may both end up in Hollywood. Gay Whisperer II. Poor Robert. ;-)

I would also ask people who seem 100% just like me, if perhaps bewildered and scared (of us, mostly), before declaring them mentally ill and in need of treatment. I am not sure if someone who is not dangerous and who does not ask for treatment should be treated. I believed such an attitude was a thing of the 70'ies. That's why 'One Flew...' was supposed to have such a great impact on us. Apparently, that impact was a short lived one only and we are back to 'normal'. Poor Jack. ;-)

Getting to know people face to face and in person often clears out our otherwise well imprinted opinions. Reading from varied sources is also an eye opener.

There is that ages old technique used in sharing philosophy where you ask the disagreeing parties to reverse the roles and to argument in favour of the view they do not habitually support. I never believed this was anything but another self-help pastime, until I tried.

We had this most impressive Reina del Carnaval contestant here last winter. She seemed absolutely in her element and, to me, an emanation of human glory, beauty and love. She did not ask to get treated nor did she show any signs of mental illness. She did say she felt unhappy growing up as a boy.

I cannot convince anyone to open their eyes and mind. Seeing the world as is will be something we are born with, unless we take the risks associated with living bravely and expose ourselves to the unknown, the uncertain and the different.

Love, peace and flowers,
b.

Change of subject. Your choice of movie references show that we might be in the same age group
