New HANSE 348..

Hi,
.
I am interested in the new version of the HANSE 345, the 348.
We know all the ups and downs in the past of the yard, in the quality
of their products, in the after-sales service....

OR interested too by the new version of the BENETEAU Oceanis 35.1...

I wish i had a actual return from the owners of sailboats out of these
shipyards.

To read you,

I have exactly same question, wait to make decision. To me, seems Beneteau brand is better than Hanse while hanse interior design and space is better. It's like VW VS Honda. No decision yet.

Re: New HANSE 348..

Hi Stanz,
.
I've been going over the last few days on a french Forum of OCEANIS owners (forum oceanis).. See by Google.
The new version of the OCEANIS 35, the 35.1, wich come back to more traditional interior design proposals, does not seem to win a majority of favourable opinions.
Both on the quality of the finished product and on the deck equipment provided by the Yard.
Not to mention a fairly high price.... We could go into the details, but we're still waiting for more feedback.
.
For the HANSE 348, the time of the low-cost belongs to the past. It's a fact !
But their options of options kits are now well studied and complete.... not to mention that they offer modern and well actual Equipment.
.
To study.

To read you,
We deliver quite a few of the new Hanse yachts and the 348 would be a great choice... They sail really well and are light on the helm. Everything is laid out well. The self-tacking jib is also a big feature (good if you're short handed).

Re: New HANSE 348..

Hi Pete,
.
I know your company by YourTube (subscriber to your channel)...
I do not trust the Dutch importer of HANSE. I'm in contact with YUCCA-VOILES located in Brest (France).
If purchase of the 348, it was in my intentions to appeal to you for the
conveyance to Nieuwpoort (Belgium) in my company.
.
At HANSE the prices have just changed, I wait for them, and I do not yet have my estimate of the new belgian importer for the Oceanis (one of the worst shipchandler in Belgian)...

We'd be very happy to help and I look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes, Pete

Re: New HANSE 348..

I have not seen the new 348 but the 345 looked great and that was the boat that persuaded me to go with Hanse. I ended up with a 385 which is now 3 years old.
Although I expect all the volume manufacturers will match on price, the Early Bird pack offered in July & August was a huge incentive and made the Hanse offer look good value compared to Jeaneau.
I also liked being able to pick up the boat from the yard in Greifswald. The Baltic is a great cruising destination.
I have had no major issues with the boat and it is a massive improvement in sailing ability from my previous Beneteau. It is unfair to compare a 20yo shallow-draft Beneteau with a new boat, however the fixed traveller arch on the new Oceanis did not appeal to me.
I think that the quality of rig, sails, deck gear, steering and electronics is very good on the Hanse. The cost savings show in the foil rather than veneer cabinetry but this is minimal and mine still looks as new.
I keep my boat at the Hanse yard and have found the team there to be very helpful.
I have no plans to change my boat, however if I was to do so I would definitely buy another Hanse, or if I had more money, a Dehler.

Re: New HANSE 348..

Hi eastlands, Hi All,
.
Above all, thank you for you first returns.
Days pass, and I gest selected dealers the first quotes and more talking documents.
In short, on the proposals offered for the 2018 season, a simple observation,
the offers off the two manufacturers at the level of the options are quite similar !!! Even the german system for the french or electronics (Zeus3).
At least on the essential points !
.
I assume that if what can be mouted starting yard is satisfactory, I take into
consideration... rather than a later mountage.
Observation confirmed also, with equivalent Equipment, HANSE is more expensive of a good 10%.
Oh, by the way, the famous arch of the Oceanis is an option.. and I don't
want it either.
.
By the way, I'm in possession of the Owner's manuals of the H348 & H388
scanned. If someone is interested ?

Yes... for us, 63 and 66 years old, yet a choice..
For the HANSE, furling mast or not ???

Re: New HANSE 348..

For me (age 58) I would say no to in mast furling, but maybe an alternative option you might consider is an electric winch.
With the roller batten cars the sail drops into the lazy bag easily and the only real effort required is the last metre hoisting. Obviously reefing may be more complex so this is something for you to judge for yourself.

I am disappointed to see how much Hanse have increased their prices. I can see that Inspiration (UK dealer) are selling their 2017 ex boat show demonstrator 388 for GBP190k which is over 50% more than I paid for my 385 3 years ago. Of course we have the Brexit currency fluctuations that will have contributed to this as I benefited from a much better GBP to EURO exchange rate back then.

Re: New HANSE 348..

Yes..
The price for the H348 ready to sea, here in Belgium, is € 192.000,00 VATincl.
FCL sails and 5% discount !
For the Oceanis 35.1, 7% discount, the price is € 176.000,00 ...

If you have not already found it, the MyHanse.com forum has lots of information from owners.

According to the brochure it only has CE category B.
Can that really be correct?
