I have to laugh being I am the wife and skipper. :-) We tend to do things a little backwards from normal. That said this was his idea so we are in this together. Not to worry he does have plenty of brownie points. He earned them early on. I have no desire to see my name on anything but a cold drink and the last roll of TP. He did try for Brown eyed girl but that too is overdone.

I appreciate all suggestions. I like the west marine idea! I just want to be able to say this clearly on the radio and not see a lot of the same.

Re: Need Name Ideas

Music Ideas:
Adagio
Intermezzo
Legato
Nocturne
Rubato (my favorite. Isn't this what buying a boat is really doing?)

Like Serenity:
Oasis
Firefly (sorry, sci-fi joke)

Thank you! The firefly joke isn't lost on me. You are right on in that thinking! We have an Adagio and Crescendo at our club currently. I like Rubato. Another name that is on our list is Elysium.

Re: Need Name Ideas

how about "I-Don't-Know-What-To-Name-This-Thing"?

Seriously, you might try "Tranquility", or "Sea of Tranquility".

We had that thought or Emanon (nonane backwards). Tranquility is also common although not as bad
As Serenity.

I was in West Bengal India for a time. A common response to a morning greeting is " bhalo achi " means " I am well "

I'd probably lean to a musical name for our future boat, but my wife and I have different tastes:

Freddie Freeloader
Abraxas
Take Five
Sandu
Saeta
Down by the River

Oh, the list would be endless.

Re: Need Name Ideas

I had a boat named Alliwannado; like from Sheryl Crow; never saw a similar one.

Re: Need Name Ideas

For a musical type name, how about:

Treble in Paradise
Pizzicato
Glissandi
Larghetto
Andante
Moderato
Vivace
A Piacere (literally, this is Italian for "at pleasure")

If you want a serenity type name, how about:

Tranquillo
Serenita
Armonia (Italian for harmony, but looks v. close to ammonia)

If you can't agree you'll end up Crotchet-y

I like Tequila Sunrise
But maybe it's been done to death because it's a great song, although I've never seen it on a boat here in Aus.
